Coach Michael Cerna

Michael Cerna grew up outside of Houston, Texas, where he was introduced to lacrosse in 6th grade. When his team needed a goalie, he stepped into the position and remained in the crease for the next 12 years. Michael played at Clear Lake High School before continuing his career as a goalie at the University of Texas at Austin.

After graduating in 2021, Michael began coaching as a private goalie trainer. Mike is the Goalie Coach for Grant High School and has also coached for Team Oregon and EPL in the Portland area. He loves developing the next generation of goalies and giving back to the game that has given him so much.
